Surrey to YVR: how the fare works (and when to book)

Everyone asks us the same two questions: how much, and when should I book. Fair. Here’s the straight answer.

The meter math

Our rates are set and public: $3.75 flag, $2.18 per kilometre, GST included. No surge, no “high demand” multiplier, no guessing. Surrey to YVR is roughly 30 to 38 km depending on where in Surrey you start and which crossing is moving, so most airport runs land in a predictable range. Call dispatch and we’ll estimate your exact route before you commit. We’ve been driving it since before the tunnel had a lineup.

The mistake that misses flights

Booking the cab for when you need to leave, instead of when you need to arrive. The Massey and the Alex Fraser don’t care about your boarding time. For an international or US flight, YVR says be inside the terminal three hours before departure, two for domestic. Give dispatch the flight time and we work backwards from that, drive included. Worst case you drink one more coffee at the gate. Best case you’re not sprinting to the gate.

When to book
